Gay Gasper, Perform Better - Hard Core Conditioning, Balanced Body, Steptastic, Fluid Flexibility
Certified in: ACE, AFAA, AAAI, IFTA, staff of SCW for over 16 years and holds a degree in Fine Arts. Gay is best known as, "the Innovator of Creative Choreography" teaching instructors for numerous organizations and conventions around the world. Currently Gay is proud to be a BATUKA Master Trainer. A Perform Better sponsored athlete, featured in the group exercise fitness product catalog. Part of the “Extreme Urban Rebounding” team, and has just completed a video series for “Cardio Karate”. Gay is also a Master Trainer for TRX and RealRyder. She has been seen in Shape magazine on QVC and is one of Comcast cable 5 star trainers. Gay has been LaToya Jackson’s personal trainer and the official step trainer for the NY Jets. She is the featured star of over 30 best-selling exercise videos, including (three) fitness videos for “dummies”. Originally on the fitness scene as the “first” National STEP Challenge Champion, Gay continues to inspire, teach and train clients and instructors.
Dr. Lee Burton - The Functional Movement Screen
Lee Burton, PhD, A.T.,C., C.S.C.S., received his Bachelor Degree in Athletic Training from Appalachian State University and his Master Degree in Education with an emphasis in athletic training from Old Dominion University. Lee completed his Doctorate Degree with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Wellness at Virginia Tech. He attained his Certification of Athletic Training through the National Athletic Trainer’s Association-Board of Certification and his Certification of Strength and Conditioning through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Lee is currently the Program Director for Athletic Training at Averett University. Lee has presented on numerous sports medicine topics nationally and internationally at various sports medicine and personal training symposiums. He has also published articles in a variety of sports medicine journals and produced numerous instructional videos concerning functional applications for treatment, assessment and conditioning of active individuals. Lee, along with his colleagues, is currently working on several research projects dealing with functional evaluation and exercise prescription.
Sharyn Lustre, Zumba Fitness - Zumba
A lover of all things related to fitness and wellness, Sharyn has been helping lead others towards this lifestyle since 1997. As a native of Virginia and Virginia Tech alumni (GO HOKIES!!!!), she has trained clients of all background and ages, from toddlers to those who enjoy turning back the clock! With a B.S. in Exercise and Health Promotion, fitness certifications, and 14 years of real world experience, She enjoys lighting that much needed fire to get you going! Sharyn currently works at Zumba Fitness, LLC Headquarters and also teaches and trains private classes/clients.

Darcie Burde, MA, CPT; PTA Global - 3-Dimensional Checkpoints; Client Communication
Darcie’s career in Recreational Sports fitness has flourished at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Florida. As the Assistant Director for Fitness she programs for 51,000 students at UF. Her managerial and educational responsibilities include supervising and training over 200 student staff for strength & conditioning, personal training, small group training, fitness assessment, group fitness and massage therapy. She supervises academic internships, practicum students, special event planning and Training Center operations at UF RecSports. Darcie serves as a campus resource for the Healthy Gators Coalition, the University Campaign for Charities and the Eating Disorders Awareness Team. As a member of the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) she presents at regional and national conferences and has served on the Student Professional Development Committee. Darcie is a faculty member for Personal Training Academy Global, she teaches workshops, mentorships and is an industry presenter. She also serves as a Movement Specialist for Technogym.
Megan Evans, Virginia Tech Athletics - Training The Athlete
Megan is a former Virginia Tech softball player who finished her career 2005 and graduated with a BS in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise. Upon graduation she received a graduate assistantship with Virginia Tech Strength and Conditioning. While with them she earned her Masters degree in Physical Education while gaining much needed experience in the strength training field. Megan was hired as a Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic sports in the summer of 2009. She currently is responsible for training the Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Lacrosse, Women’s Tennis, Men and Women’s Track and Field (Sprint and multi-jump events) Men’s and Women’s Divers, and oversees the training for the Cheerleading and Dance team. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Genelle Seward, MA has been an Area Promotions Director and Presenter for Powder Blue Productions, creators of Turbo Kick®, Hip Hop Hustle™ and PiYo™ Strength, for close to a decade. As an ACE certified personal trainer, group ex instructor, and health and wellness business entrepreneur, she provides fitness inspiration to motivate and educate her students. Genelle has appeared on Good Morning America Health and QVC as an on-air fitness talent.

Susan Laney, B.S. in Corporate Wellness is Les Mills BODYVIVE® Program Coach and DVD presenter as well as Trainer/Presenter in BODYFLOW®, BODYPUMP® and CXWORX®. Her background includes corporate wellness and health promotion program management. Susan holds ACSM (HFS) and NSCA (CSCS) certifications.

Nancy Aden, SCW Fitness Education - WATERinMOTION, Aquatic Excellence
Nancy Aden has been involved in the fitness industry for 30 years. She has been a national trainer and presenter for PBS and Cable in the Classroom. Although she started out as a groupX instructor, her love has been the water! She has been an aquatic instructor and Aquatic Director at several clubs in central Virginia for the last 20 years. Currently Nancy is the Business Development Manager-East Coast for SCWFitness Education. Nancy holds certifications with AEA, as a CPO and as an instructor with WATERinMOTION.
Adam Ayash, Dynamic Solutions - Kettlebell 101
Adam Ayash, MS Exercise Fitness and Health Promotion, CSCS, CISSN, CPT, recently completed his master's in Exercise Fitness and Health Promotion at George Mason University also serving as a graduate assistant. Adam's focus is athletic performance and injury prevention having experience interning at three NCAA Division I strength and conditioning programs. He is also, a certified sports nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition. Currently, Adam is a sports performance coach at Dynamic Solutions in Northern VA specializing in kettlebell training for athletic performance enhancement and injury prevention.

Sophia Marshall, M.Ed. is the Associate Director for Programs with the Department of Recreational Services at the University of North Carolina at
Charlotte. Sophia has been teaching group fitness classes for 17 years, and is a certified instructor in the following: AFAA Group Exercise and
Kickboxing, ACE Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant, Zumba Fitness, Les Mills Body Pump, and Spinning. In addition, she is an AFAA continuing education provider.
Sophia specializes in teaching "dance-style" group fitness classes including Cardio Dance, Cardio Hip-Hop, and Zumba. She teaches Master Cardio Dance classes for local fitness clubs, colleges/universities, and NIRSA Conferences and Expos. In addition, Sophia conducts workshops on how to effectively and efficiently teach dance-style group fitness classes.
